“We want to help people Own their Vision of Success”As we have traveled around the country we noticed a trending pain point where people are looking for ways to become successful. We are currently living in a society where people are looking for instant gratification, and are questioning the value proposition of a four-year college degree. (Don’t get us wrong, we find a lot of value in learning the fundamentals that are gained from earning a college degree).After working in higher education, we saw there was a gap that was missing, and the accreditation process widened that gap. Accreditation places more value on degrees earned by professors, versus the real-world experiences of someone who has been working in a particular field and has become a subject matter expert rather than earning multiple degrees. From this, we saw an opportunity to create a space where subject matter experts can share real-world experiences with individuals who are eager to learn the “meat and potatoes” of a particular subject.The Own The Vision Academy allows users to connect with subject matter experts, and learn any and everything at her/his own pace. At the same time, our platform allows subject matter experts to share her/his expertise with the world without the constraints of accreditation. We don’t tell our instructors how to teach, we only require that they provide real-world examples to subjects they practice daily.
